Lighting in office spaces is often treated as a secondary issue, with its role reduced almost exclusively to aesthetics. In fact, it has a direct impact on ergonomics, atmosphere, and on employees’ comfort and productivity—not to mention the aesthetics of the office space.
Ensuring an adequate amount of light in the workplace improves efficiency, reduces eye strain, and positively affects overall well-being. Equally important is the fact that abundant natural daylight in offices can significantly reduce energy consumption.
How to design such workspaces is discussed, among others, by the architects at the Design Anatomy studio.
