iLunch in Olivia Prime B is the first Polish location of the Lithuanian chain and another hospitality project delivered by Design Anatomy in Olivia Centre. The brand is developing a fast, wholesome lunch concept based on a fully automated ordering and collection process. Customers select their meal on a tablet, make the payment and then collect it from an automated meal collection system. The entire process takes only a few minutes which, with a capacity of up to 1,500 customers per day, required exceptionally precise planning of the function, technology and back-of-house facilities.

Our task was to prepare a multidisciplinary detailed design and adapt the vision of the Lithuanian architect to Polish formal, technical and operational requirements. The process required coordination across multiple disciplines, consideration of the high intensity of use, and compliance with strict sanitary regulations. An important part of the project was also obtaining the necessary approvals from the sanitary authorities.

In the case of iLunch, the key issue was not only the aesthetics of the dining area, but above all the operational logic of the entire restaurant. We designed the space to ensure efficient user flow, effective back-of-house operations, proper functional organisation and seamless integration of the restaurant with the advanced service system and meal collection technology.

This was a project in which interior architecture, gastronomy, technology and operational requirements had to work as one coherent system. It is precisely in projects of this kind that the designer’s role as process coordinator becomes particularly important – translating the concept into a functional, safe and fully operational space.
